Madelyn K. Thomas is the co-host of “The Umoja Show” (10:00 PM to 12:00 AM Saturday). Madelyn likes to live life to the fullest and is not afraid of a challenge. She has lived in various places in the United States including Louisiana, Mississippi, Michigan, California, Texas, Illinois and currently resides in the Phoenix Metro Area. She loves to travel and experience various cultures. Madelyn is very outgoing and she is a free thinker who always has an option but knowns when to keep it to herself (she chooses her battles wisely). Madelyn is proud of her volunteerism. Madelyn started her volunteer work at an early age just prior to high school. She was a candy striper at a hospital, worked at Rialto Theatre in Illinois for many years and has a great passion for Breast Cancer Research and has worked with Susan G Komen and the American Cancer Society. Madelyn is currently working with the Coalition of Blacks against Breast Cancer and does community outreach and Breast Cancer awareness. Madelyn is a firm believer that you need to give back to your community in order to make it a better place to be.
Madelyn is a lover of slow jams by artist including Barry White, Luther Vandross, Kelly Price, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, and Anita Baker just to name a few. She also listens to rap with a positive purpose, country, classical and pop. Madelyn has always loved the stories told through musical genius.
